Arie Mangrum IV is a Talent Acquisition Leader and technical recruiter with 15+ years of experience. He was inspired to create IndeedBlack because the unemployment gap won't be narrowed based on good intentions alone.

In September 2026, Black unemployment rose to 𝟳% while the national rate held at 𝟰.𝟮%. In 2025, startups with a Black founder drew just 𝟬.𝟯𝟮% of U.S. venture funding. Behind those numbers are talented candidates who never get seen and Black-owned companies that never get found. The problem isn't talent. It's 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨.

Arie has led hiring from entry-level to the C-Suite across legal, marketing, sales, customer support, product, and engineering. Formerly Director of Recruiting Operations at SilverStay, he also held Director & Lead roles at JC Law, Bluesight, and ChopDawg.com. Based in the Washington DC-Baltimore area, he brings a sharp operational lens to every search.
