Employee Cycle: The HR Dashboard That Ends the Monthly Spreadsheet Scramble

By Arie Mangrum IV · October 6, 2026 | 2 min read

Ask most HR leaders for turnover by manager and you'll hear, "Give me a week." Bruce Marable built Employee Cycle so the answer takes seconds.

Marable had been here before. He started an HR tech company called gatherDocs, a mobile hiring tool, and later stepped back from it. He saw there was still room in Philadelphia for another HR product. In 2019 he and co-founder Salas Saraiya started Employee Cycle.

The problem they set out to fix is one every HR team knows: workforce data is scattered across payroll, recruiting, and HR systems, and someone has to export, clean, and rebuild the same report every month. Employee Cycle connects to the systems a company already runs, including UKG, Greenhouse, BambooHR, ADP, and Paylocity, and pulls everything into one dashboard. The connection is read-only, so nothing gets written back to the system of record.

A few things stand out:

  • Fast setup. Teams are typically live in a day.
  • No-code reporting. Non-technical HR staff can build filtered reports and dashboards themselves.
  • Trust built in. The platform is SOC 2 Type 2 certified and complies with GDPR and CCPA.
  • Self-service for leaders. Department heads can answer their own questions from a dashboard scoped to their people.

The traction is real. Employee Cycle joined the 2021 Comcast NBCUniversal LIFT Labs Accelerator, powered by Techstars, and around then was closing a $2.5 million seed round with a four-person team. Marable says the company now works with more than 100 organizations, and the site says its analytics cover over a million employees.

I also like what the product does for equity work. You can slice turnover by tenure, manager, pay band, or demographics and stack filters until a pattern shows itself. Automated data checks flag missing fields, such as ethnicity, location, or manager, before a bad number reaches a leader. You can't fix what you can't see.

Hiring is half the story at IndeedBlack. Keeping people is the other half, and tools like this help teams find where people leave and why.

Curious? There's a 14-day free trial at employeecycle.com. Bruce Marable is co-founder and CEO, and Salas Saraiya is co-founder.
